今天是1月1日，新年的第一天，這一天，我們家有兩樣喜事，一：過年了，二：今天是爺爺的生日，我們懷著激動的心情，來到了爺爺家。
剛剛到，我就沖下車，朝樓上奔去，樓梯上，我不停的扯開嗓門大喊：「爺爺，奶奶！」可是，由於爺爺有點老了，所以有點聽不清楚，我不得不叫了兩次爺爺，爺爺奶奶高興的合不攏嘴，他們最開心的事，就是看到自己的孫子，兒子，女兒來看望他們。
到了樓上，奶奶一把把我摟到了懷里，一看，就知道爺爺奶奶這幾天有多麼的孤獨，看到這里，我的心裡就如刀割一般痛苦，奶奶看到了我手中的禮物，就問我這是什麼，我笑而不答，說：「呵呵，這是秘密。」這讓奶奶心中，有多出了一個問號，她很想知道這是什麼，於是，她就追著我不放，我受不了她的追問，只好告訴了她一個小小的線索：「告訴你吧，這是件給爺爺的禮物。」「禮物？」「對呀。」奶奶聽後，有開心的笑了起來：「原來是禮物呀，爺爺看到了，一定會和不攏嘴的，哈哈。」我想也是，爺爺這么愛笑的人，看到了禮物，還能不笑？
爺爺回來了，我風馳電掣的將禮物遞入爺爺之手，爺爺看了，馬上捧腹大笑，然後，邊笑邊說：「我……我們去飯……飯店吃飯吧，我請客！哈哈哈哈哈哈哈！」我隱約看見，爺爺的兩顆雪白門牙，露了出來，而且，他的臉都笑紅了。到了飯店，我急匆匆的奔上包廂，選了一個好位置坐了下來，哇，原來這個簡陋的飯店，食譜都這么好呀，我興奮極了，開始狂吃，可是，狂吃讓我犯了錯誤，如果我現在吃飽的話，那麼長壽面和蛋糕都吃不下了，可是，我已經飽了，再想也沒用了，終於，爺爺開始發紅包了，我馬上跑到他面前，第一個收了紅包，拆出來一看，哇，有1000圓呀，這么多錢，可以給我幾次購物呀，正當我開心時，媽媽幫我拿走了900，她說：「小孩子這么多錢是不好的。」我知道，錢一但給了媽媽，就永遠別想拿回來了。還好，我自己留了100，可是，爸爸又來了，他說這100給他保管，我相信爸爸，於是，我給了他，他給了我25，說他還欠我75，於是，我爽快的答應了。
終於吃蛋糕了，我們每人分了一塊，後來，我和姐姐預謀了一下，拿了一點奶油，馬上沾到了爺爺臉上，他那個樣子，逗的我們都開心的笑了！
今天早上一大早，爸爸就在催我：「小魚快起床。」我睜開朦朧的睡眼，我問：「今天是什麼日子呀……這么早就起床！」爸爸神秘的對我說：「不告訴你，快點起床，今天咱們要回老家呢！」這是什麼事呀，用的著對我也這么神秘！我半天也想不透今天是什麼日子。回到老家後，媽媽才告訴我今天是爺爺的生日！呀，我怎麼能把這么重要的事給忘了！
我十分敬佩爺爺，因為爺爺總是呢么省吃檢用，每逢爺爺過生日，他不會去酒店大吃大喝，只是在家裡吃一些普通的飯菜，他總是說：「酒店煮的不跟家裡煮的一樣么，為什麼要出去吃？」爺爺他自己省吃檢用還教導我們也要少花錢。一次，我買了一輛遙控車很貴，爺爺就罵我大手大腳。
爺爺他很愛我，我有上課時，他總是早早的叫我起來還把衣服放在床邊。當我要去刷牙時，總是看見牙杯里的水以經滿了，爺爺對我真好！爺爺每天晚上都起來給我蓋被子，晚上我熱時總是把被子踢掉，而爺爺又怕我著涼都在深夜給我蓋被子。
爺爺對我愛，使我對一位詩人所說的一段話有更深刻理解：親情真是一把結實的傘，為你遮風擋雨；親情真是一件厚厚的棉衣，為你抵禦寒冷；親情是一張柔軟的床，你累了，讓你忘記疲憊；親情是一條乾爽的毛巾，你哭了，為你拂去心中的淚水；親情是一杯甜甜的冰紅茶，讓你從嘴裡甜到心裡。爺爺就猶如這里每一樣東西。我要努力學慣用最好的成績禮物給爺爺作為生日禮物。我還要多幫爺爺做一些力所能及的事。
兩位叔叔因為工作的關系沒能回來，今天他們老是打電話回來向爺爺送上祝語，還有我那可愛的堂弟還向爺爺唱了生日歌。爸爸也買了紅蝦和桂花魚。我想爺爺這個生日一定過的很開心。
